- Tor-Arne Moen (1966 -)
- Born and grew up in the town of Notodden, Telemark County, Norway.
- Educated at the College of Arts in Bergen, Norway.
- Established as a painter at the premises of Norwegian Hydro´s old industrial plant since 1992.
- Made cover illustrations for the Norwegian author Knut Hamsun´s complete works, a collection consisting of 33 oil paintings, one for each volume. These paintings have been exhibited on various places throughout the country, among these Hamsun´s farm Skogheim, located at Hamarøy. Later Kirsti and Johnas Kalstad bought the collection and had a permanent gallery built for it on Tranøy.
- Debuted at the Autumn Exibition in Oslo in 1994 with one of the Hamsun paintings.
- Member of the Norwegian Visual Art Society since 1994.
- In 1997, the publisher Gyldendal bought the rights to print the Hamsun paintings as book covers.
- Exhibited a series of motorcycle paintings in the Ibsen House, Skien, the Steen Gallery, Oslo, the Sogn and Fjordane Couty Gallery in 1998.
- Have been working within various concepts of arts and several forms of figurative painting such as acts, portraits, still life, interiors, cityscapes, landscapes as well as different kinds of figure paintings.
- Built up a graphic workshop in the studio in 1996. Since then prodused a number of series of colour woodcuts. The gaphic art is to a great extent reflecting the different oil painting projects.
- Have published short stories in various magazines, resulting in the short story collection "Autumn in the Butterfly Garden", published by Cappelen in 1998.
- In 2008, the novel "The Well Trout" was published at Piratforlaget.
- Member of the Norwegian Authors´ Union since 2009.
